A message from the Head Teacher:
Thank you for taking an interest in our wonderful school. I am sure you have explored our website, reviewed our results, and read our recent Ofsted reports (we’re very pleased with them!). The purpose of this profile is to encourage you to seriously consider applying and becoming a part of our dedicated staff, joining a diverse and excellent group of individuals who are fully student-centred and team players.
With over 25 years of teaching experience, I have seen most of what education has to offer. Every day, my staff make a positive difference in the lives of young people.
At Turing House, I pride myself on leading a locally-rooted school, inspired by my unwavering commitment to inclusivity within our community. We are a beloved and highly sought-after community school, renowned for placing student care at the core of our mission (and proudly oversubscribed). Our nurturing environment fosters positive relationships between students and staff, ensuring that every individual is truly known and valued.
We are a beacon of inspirational teaching, guided by an exceptional leadership team grown from within our own ranks. This team understands the challenges of education and works tirelessly to ensure staff well-being, so students can thrive. Our forward-thinking approach is dedicated to continuous improvement, with passionate educators committed to enhancing their teaching, learning, and reflective practices.
Turing House is mindful of the modern world’s impact on mental health, prioritizing the well-being of both students and staff. We recognize the transformative power of sports and the arts in breaking down barriers, helping all students to shine beyond academics. Our commitment to seeing every student as a unique individual ensures they leave with boundless opportunities.
We foster emotional intelligence and provide guidance for students facing challenges, with PLUS at the heart of our support system. Our culture of mutual care means that staff, students, and parents are all part of Team Turing. Staff turnover is relatively low because our staff are happy and feel supported in their work. Our recent Ofsted inspection staff survey revealed that 100% of staff are proud to be members of Turing House School. This statistic reflects our commitment to staff well-being and happiness.
Working in a school is incredibly rewarding. With a collaborative approach and staff working together and supporting one another, Turing House is a very special place to work.
